As the writing community in the Phoenix area has grown and flourished, I have personally moved in another direction. I have stepped away from my other responsibilities in the community, and placed them in other capable hands. This site is no longer a necessary tool to connect the disparate groups and projects together as I am no longer a community leader. I do not have as easy access to the information that was so readily available to me before, and will no longer update the site.
I hope you found this a useful resource in the past, and wish the best in the future.
Our small family owned cafe in Tempe is hosting a poetry & music open mic night on friday August 8th from 6 pm to 8ish, i would love to extend an invitation to the members of this meet up to join us 🙂
in addition to celebrating the creativity of our community, we’ll be raising awareness and “selling” mini cupcakes for donation, proceeds benefiting one of our chef’s infant nephews battling a rare disease called Shwachmann Diamond Syndrome (SDS), and to raise awareness of this condition.
We host an open mic once a month and try our best to pay it forward during these events by supporting our communities causes. If you can help us pass this along I’d appreciate it greatly 🙂
